Elements of Sensitivity Practices with Laura

We explore being pulled where you want to go - by those who want what you offer but you don't know yet - more than being held where you are by those you already know, making changes and making waves.

The power of these practices is affirming and supportive in holding us in the transitions and unknowns, calling our own sense of who we are toward where we want to be even when we are not yet sure where that could be. The familiar can have a strong pull on us. Sometimes it helps to know how to practice giving more weight to and connecting to a line into possibility. It is a lot to try to turn the ship all by yourself. And your wants can be pulled forward by connecting to the wants of others yet unknown. I love this conversation and the uncanniness of these practices. They land in ways that resonate beyond words. If you do not know what Kickstarter is, this may feel confusing to go to that link and not immediately see a typical online store. I would like to explain a little more so that you can understand. Also feel free to email if you have any questions or concerns about this. It can be confusing and there is a lot to sort through.

Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform that lets creators get a lot of funding all at once to launch a project. I chose Kickstarter for these cards because I do not yet have a publisher for these cards and so I need to order them in bulk in order to get them printed. They are not available to purchase one deck at a time and there are no printers who will just print one deck at a time due to the expense of printing.

The way that it works once you go to the Kickstarter link is for you to select a “reward” for backing this project of the Elements of Sensitivity card deck. If you go to the far right side of the screen at that link you will see all of the rewards listed that you can select from, you will have to scroll down and there is even a separate scroll bar for just the rewards to scroll through them. One of the rewards is a single deck of cards. There are additional rewards that include other supports to working with these practices on the cards such as a workshop and 1-1 work, and also include a deck of cards. One reward is a recorded card reading that does not include a deck, similar to the reading above, if you do not want a physical deck but do want some individualized guidance. And you can get a reward that is a bulk of 6 card decks that cuts the cost per deck down.

You select the reward you want and then become a backer for the project. You will only be charged for the reward you selected if this project gets fully funded. It gets fully funded when we have enough backers to contribute to me ordering a batch of cards from the printer I am working with. That is $2,000 to be fully funded and we are close but not quite there. So if you are thinking of getting a deck, I hope this helps make sense of what it means to get a deck and encourages you to back it now to make sure we get fully funded and you get your deck! It’s not a typical online store purchase. Once the project gets funded and is complete on December 22nd, then I will make an order for the decks of cards you all backed to the printer. It will take about 4 weeks for me to receive those cards and then I will mail them out to you and schedule any additional rewards that will happen live or via recording. So your purchase of the cards would happen now but not arrive to you until months from now. Your support of this project means a lot to me and I hope that these cards are actually a very useful tool for you, so I hope getting to see them in action helps you to understand how they might work for you and decide if you want them.
